Step one: Connect the System Configuration
3J Products supports only port 1 and 3 on eCAMit Switch. Please connect 3J Products to these 2 ports, and computers to port 2 or 4.
Step 2: Set up the eCAMit Switch if your internet uses PPPoE or Foxed IP
Connect your xDSL/Cable modem to WAN port of the eCAMit Switch and peeCAMit T to LAN port 1 or port 3 of the eCAMit Switch. The port 2 and 4 are reserved for your PCs. If your xDSL/Cable modem uses DHCP, please skip this section and go direct to Step 3.
• Find out the type of your WAN port of the Camera Switch: fixed IP, DHCP or PPPoE? If you have a DHCP, please skip this section.(Please ask your internet service provider for the connection details and information). If your modem uses PPPoE or Fixed IP, go to next step.
• Connect your PC to any LAN port of the eCAMit Switch. Please set your PC to acquire IP automatically.
• Type http://192.168.8.1:8209 on IE browser to enter the setup for Camera Switch.
• Leave the user name blank and the password for the router is "cameras"
Advanced Setting:
If you have an existing router, please connect the WAN port to any Ethernet of the Camera Switch and set the WAN port of your original router to 192.168.8.1x. Then set the same virtual IP at the Camera Switch be DMZ.
Step 3: Viewing your peCAMit T
On the CD, please find two Windows software:
• eCAMit T Setup: The software will find all the 3JTech T series cameras on the LAN. You could then setup each cameras in terms of camera and system parameters
• eCAMit Deluxe: The software is for you to view locally and remotely the T series for up to 16 cameras. The could set the camera and system parameters and record the images onto your local or remote PC.
To test the cameras on the local LAN
Install eCAMit T Setup on to your PC
Connect your PC to the LAN port 2 or 4 of the eCAMit Switch. After execute the program will show all the xeCAMit T series cameras connected on the local LAN.
To view the cameras remotely or locally
Install eCAMit Deluxe onto your PC
Add your camera ID to the program. The ID is the last eight digits of the MAC address of your xeCAMit. |
